Matt Nash is an associate attorney at Jeff Field & Associates. He assists our clients in the areas of Chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcy. Matt joined the firm in 2011 after completing his Juris Doctorate at Barry University School of Law in Orlando, Florida.
Matt grew up in Lawrenceville, Georgia and is a graduate of Collins Hill High School. Matt went on to receive his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Criminal Justice from Piedmont College in Demorest, Georgia. He was a member and captain of the men’s tennis team and was named the Great South Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year for the 2003-2004 season. While attending Piedmont, Matt was also a legal intern for the Mountain Judicial Circuit’s District Attorney’s Office, where he assisted prosecutors with criminal trials and criminal pleas, in both felony and misdemeanor cases.
Matt attended Barry University School of Law in Florida, where he worked through law school as a legal assistant for an estate planning firm. He also interned for the Honorable Judge Thomas Sculco in the Office of the Judge of Compensation Claims for Orlando, Orange County, Florida. After graduating from law school, Matt returned to Georgia and worked as a contract attorney before landing an associate position with Coleman & Chambers, LLP. Soon thereafter, he left the firm to join Jeff Field & Associates.
Matt is a member of the Georgia State Bar Association, the Young Lawyers Division of the Georgia State Bar, Gainesville Bar Association and American Bar Association.
When he is not practicing law, Matt enjoys being outdoors and on the lake. Matt is also very active in the Atlanta tennis community, participating competitively in ALTA, USTA, T2 and Ultimate Tennis leagues.
